SOFTWARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW

Provides support and training to Polaris clients and employees for various web and app-based software programs. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-driven, patient, and is not afraid to speak to people. This position is remote and requires some traveling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains a thorough and complete understanding of all assigned software.
  • Provides support services to clients and employees, including but not limited to:
o setting up and maintaining user accounts
o troubleshooting issues with software programs
o guiding users on how to perform specific tasks within software programs
o conducting scheduled training sessions on software programs, including new user and refresher training
  • Monitors and analyzes software usage to determine the best options for each client.
  • Customizes support and training to meet the needs of individual users and/ or user groups.
  • Serves as the primary contact for all client-related issues regarding assigned software.
  • Communicates issues to appropriate team members and follows up to achieve the intended resolution.
  • Works with the programming team to implement new software modules and trains users before roll-out.
  • Maintains and updates software programs as needed.
  • Creates training guides and user manuals as needed.
  • Collaborates with other departments for troubleshooting as well as improving system functions.
  • Escalates issues and concerns relating to software and offers suggestions for enhancements/improvements as needed.
  • Provides information on software to the marketing team for promotional purposes.
  • Provides coverage for other members of the team as needed.
  • Maintains positive client relations, always projecting a positive image of the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Specialist will support California and Insight
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3-5 years minimum of related experience in pharmacy, teaching/training, software support, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including experience conducting online web-based trainings via Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent communication, speaking, and writing skills
  • Reliable, accountable, and flexible
  • Excellent organization/attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player, able to work with a variety of departments and different personalities.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

We provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually. PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
